Painting a Leaf

Here is the sequince for painting a leaft.

Items needed

Paint;

Pthalo Blue, Golden Yellow, and Tropical Green

A piece of scrap poster board or similer matterial

And your trusty Xacto knife

First cut out a heart  shape on the scrap piece of poster board

This will be your hand  held stencil

Now cut out a leaf  stencil on the

poster board

Spray the back of stencil with adhesive and place on  art board

Place hand held stencil on left side of leaf lining up with side of leafs stem and top of leaf

Now spray a line of Pthalo Blue down center of leaf

Spray half on hand held stencil and half on leaf

This is what it should look like

Once again place the hand held stencil on design with the point toward the leaf stem.

Now spray a thin line on the V shape of the stencil , remember to spray half on stencil and have on leaf

This is what it should look like

Repeat previous pattern several times

Now shade all around the leaf ,spray heavier on bottom  left and side with Pthalo Blue

Now we shade the top right and upper side  with Golden Yellow

Now spray Tropical Green evenly over the complete design

Remove stencil and you are finished
